Climbing Tuscany

Nearby Podere Mulinaccio you can find many places for climbing, both outdoor and indoor. Climbing in Tuscany is not famous as a sport; if you think about Maremma, this is an area with a beautiful sea, old wetlands (today fertile field). But we use to climb from many years in these territories and we will be glad to show you all the places where you can do this discipline.

Close to the farm holidays, on the Sassoforte Mountain, there are many possibilities to do bouldering. On the top of this mountain there are many rocks of rhyolite, good for that sport. In this place you can also climb on the cliff. Other places not so far from our house where you can find cliffs are Poggio al Montone, Massa Marittima and Monte Calvo, where people use to do paragliding.

Far from us, but still the district of Grosseto, there are other mountains to climb. For example: Amiata Mountain is a beautiful place where you can do free climbing and bouldering. We also have cliffs near the sea around Argentario Mountain, like Capo d’Uomo, Canne d’Organo and walls near Ansedonia. 

Maremma, with its beautiful countryside, offers many opportunities for those who love free climbing. About indoor climbing there is a climbing gym centre in Grosseto: "Il fondino 2 climbing farm". At the end there are also equipped outdoor areas for children: the most popular is the adventure park in Marina of Grosseto.
